Since being selected by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in 2019, LMS has been working closely with Lockheed Martin Skunk Works engineers to design and develop the fuel gauging system for the X-59 Low Boom Flight Demonstrator aircraft.
LMS’ fuel measurement system continuously calculates and reports fuel quantity and temperature from multiple fuel tanks in the wings and body of the aircraft. Close management of the fuel quantity in the various tanks is critical in maintaining even weight distribution, which ensures the aircraft remains aerodynamically stable throughout the flight envelope.
The LMS president will be present at the ceremony to visually see the roll out.
